The problem behind the brief
A customer wants to know what will fit on their roof, how many panels they need and what the whole installation will cost. They should be able to explore battery storage and an EV charger without starting separate enquiries or waiting for each option to be priced by hand.
We’re designing one connected, automated journey: locate the property, measure the roof, determine a suitable panel system, add optional equipment and produce a combined quote. The customer sees a few clear choices; the software handles the assessment, configuration and costing behind them.
Under the surface
A simple customer journey. A substantial calculation behind it.
Roof geometry, panel capacity, household needs, equipment choices and installation costs have to agree. The product is being built to bring those decisions into one flow, so customers can see a complete proposal without assembling it themselves.

An address-led entry point connects to roof data, including area, panel capacity and solar potential. The development integration uses demonstration data when its provider is not configured.

What we’re building
The aim is a complete roof-to-quote experience in one online visit. The current build connects roof-data analysis, selectable solar configurations and automatic solar cost estimates with battery and EV requirements. Demand-based sizing and combined equipment and installation costing are still being developed; this is not being presented as a finished quoting service.
The Next.js frontend connects through PHP to roof-data services and a MySQL enquiry store. The existing estimator prices a selected solar configuration; the combined quote engine is the next layer. Provider configuration, integrated equipment pricing and end-to-end delivery still need verification before launch. The portfolio example demonstrates the intended interaction, not that production engine.
